The images in this collection were taken by Jean Morisset in 1966. Mr. Morisset is a writer and geographer by training who while a student in the mid-1960’s was engaged in area economic surveys of the NWT with the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. He worked in Rae and Lac La Martre in the summer of 1966 and participated in a caribou hunt that departed from Rae by canoe and went north to Mesa and Rawalpindi Lakes. The photographs are part of a larger collection shared with the Tłįchǫ Government and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre September 18th, 2014.
